Finally after series of rumors Samsung Galaxy S Light Luxury has been officially launched in China, it was previously rumored to be called "Galaxy S8 lite". It packs a 5.8-inch Infinity Display inside a body the same size as the Galaxy S8. It's a Super AMOLED panel comes with 1,080 x 2,220 px resolution (18.5:9). The phone has a single camera on the back - 16 MP sensor and an f/1.7 aperture. It can record 4K video at 30 fps, but lacks OIS. The selfie camera has an 8 MP sensor and f/1.7 aperture.
The Samsung Galaxy J8 takes the new A6+ as its base and its slashes its price – in India it will cost INR 19,000 ($280/€240), down from INR 26,000 for the A-series model. Of course, changes have been made with pricing in mind.The phone has a polycarbonate unibody and features a tall 6-inch Super AMOLED screen with HD+ (1440 x 720 pixels) resolution. It’s powered by a 14nm Snapdragon 450 chipset and has 3,500 mAh battery, so battery life should be solid.
Through its official flagship store Weibo account, Vivo has confirmed that it will be introducing its new Z series of smartphones by launching the Z1 smartphone soon. It is expected to be priced under 999 Yuan (~$156) which indicates it will be mid-range smartphone.
Some earlier reports have revealed that the next major flagship phone from Xiaomi could be Mi 8th Anniversary Edition smartphone. Some sources have claimed that the handset could be called Xiaomi Mi 8. Motorola launched their new mid-range handset Moto 1s in Chinese market recently. The smartphone comes in Victoria Blue and Charlotte Powder colour variants. It is priced at Yuan 1499/Rs.15,900. The smartphone is already available for purchase via Lenovo's online shop as well as Motorola store in China.
Huawei has announced their new Y-family devices, without any announcement or fanfare. While we do get that there's not a lot to rave about the Y5 Prime (2018), a little heads-up would still be nice, since we do like to stay on top of things.
Retail boxes (with the price printed on them) suggest that the Galaxy A6+ (2018) will cost INR 28,000, above the initial expectations for India, but more or less in line with the predicted EU prices (it works out to $410/€350). The Galaxy J6 (2018) cost is listed as INR 15,000 – that’s around $220/€190, below the expected price of €250.
The rumor mill has two sets of very similar Galaxy phones, both with Infinity Displays, so an invite for an upcoming event can be read in one of three ways – Samsung will launch the Galaxy A6 duo in India, it will unveil the Galaxy J6 and J4 or do both.
