Alcatel has been busy launching their handsets in a timely manner this year as they have already released at least 12 new handsets in the market. We didn’t knew much about any future devices that the company was planning to introduce next year. But that has changed now with the CAD rendered images consisting of six new models which were leaked recently by reputable leakster Evan Blass a.k.a @evleaks on twitter.
According to Evan, these smartphones will be the company’s top-tier line-up for next year and mentions the smartphones will be “Idol-equivalent” which could suggest that the company will remove Idol moniker from its new line-up. The render reveals that the 2018 line-up consist of Alcatel 5, Alcatel 3X, Alcatel 3V, Alcatel 3, Alcatel 3C and Alcatel 1X. The leaked images also revealed the names, camera setups, fingerprint placement as well as the display front showing amount of bezels present in each model.

Starting with the design of the Alcatel 5 which seems to feature a display with minimal bezels on the side and a smaller bottom chin. Its rear end seems to be made of all metal with single camera and fingerprint sensor. As per the model name, it could be the flagship of the company. Then there are Alcatel 3V and 3X models which will sport vertical dual rear camera setup with an LED flash beside and a fingerprint sensor just below. Up front, the Alcatel 3V and 3X seem to have thin bezels on sides, whereas there are enough bezels on both the chin and the forehead to accommodate speakers and front-facing camera.
Moving on to the last column of the image which has Alcatel 3, Alcatel 3C and Alcatel 1X. The Alcatel 3 and Alcatel 3C will have unibody metal desing while the Alcatel 1X seems to have a plastic back. All three smartphones will sport single camera setup on the rear with LED flash, but it looks like only Alcatel 3 will feature a fingerprint scanner. There are no rumors or leaks as of now about the specs or the launch dates of these smartphones.
