The Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer has introduced their second smartphone, ZenFone Max Plus (M1) with an in-trend 18:9 display. The handset follows the unibody metal design and will be available in Black Wave, Azure Silvery, and Sunny Golden color options. It will debut first in the Russian market following that it will be launched globally.
Speaking of the configuration, The Asus ZenFone Max Plus (M1) rocks a 5.7-inch display with Full-HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution and has 18:9 aspect ratio. It will be backed by an octa-core MediaTek MT6750T SoC paired with Mali-T860 MP2 GPU to handle graphical tasks.
The handset comes in two options, the base version has 2GB of RAM clubbed with 16GB of built-in storage, while the premium variant has 3GB of RAM coupled with 32GB of internal storage. Both the variants will support expansion by MicroSD card up to 256GB.
Camera-wise, it features a horizontally aligned dual camera setup on the rear which consist of a 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture, and other 8MP sensor is 120-degree wide-angle lens to capture landscape and group photos. In the front, it comes with an 8MP camera which has f/2.0 aperture for selfies and video-call. The camera features include face unlocking, skin toning, smoothing, lightening, and eye correction among others to enhance selfies.
As the Max series of the company is known for their battery capacity, the handset packs a 4130mAh battery that is claimed to deliver up to 26 hours of talk time on a 3G network or 13 hours of video playback on a single charge. The smartphone also comes preloaded with Asus’s PowerMaster that is claimed to increase its battery life by two times, withstanding up to 500 cycles of full discharge. It boots up ZenUI 4.0 based on Android 7.0 Nougat.
The connectivity option includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS, and Micro-USB port. The Asus ZenFone Max Plus (M1) dimensions are 152.6 x 73 x 8.8 mm and it would weigh in at 160 grams.
