Blackberry has released its latest smartphone KEYone in India. Earlier this year the company introduced in the smartphone at the MWC 2017 event in Barcelona. The BlackBerry KEYone will be priced at Rs. 39,990 ($625) in India. This will last smartphone built in-house by the company.
The BlackBerry KEYone will feature a 4.5-inch display with 1620 x 1080 resolution. The device will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, while the international variant of the KEYone comes with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. The storage can be expanded via microSD card up to 2TB.
On the rear, the handset sports a 12MP rear camera with a f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, EIS, and dual-tone LED flash. And as for the front-facing camera, it has an 8MP sensor with f/2.2 aperture and an 84-degree wide-angle lens. It packs a 3505mAh battery that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0 and will be running Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system with BlackBerry’s own security and productivity software on-board.
The BlackBerry KEYone supports 4G VoLTE, dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11ac, NFC, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v4.2, FM radio, USB Type-C (3.1), and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The smartphone will feature a QWERTY keypad which offers contextual auto-correction, next-word prediction, and ‘flick typing’ that adapts to the user’s language style.
