Intex has launched the Aqua A4 smartphone in India, aggressively priced at Rs 4,199. The highlight of the smartphone is that it is currently the most affordable smartphone running Android 7.0 Nougat OS. Intex’s integration of Android Nougat on an entry-level smartphone marks hope for the OS to increase its presence. Android Nougat was last recorded to be running on 7.1 percent devices globally.
Intex Aqua A4 runs on Android 7.0 Nougat and supports dual-SIM slots. It features a 4-inch (480×800 pixels) WVGA display that offers 245ppi pixel density. The smartphone is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core Spreadtrum SC9832 processor paired with 1GB of RAM. The Aqua A4 offers 8GB of inbuilt storage with the option to expand further via microSD card (up to 64GB).
It also sports a 5-megapixel rear camera with fixed focus and support for flash light. At the front, there is a 2-megapixel front camera for selfies and video chats as well. It packs a 1750mAh battery which is rated to offer up to 4to 6 hours of talk time and 250 hours of standby time. The device measures at 125x64x11.2mm and weighs 119.5 grams. Connectivity options include Bluetooth, 4G VoLTE, WLAN, FM radio ,and Wi-Fi.
