Essential Phone was unveiled by Android co-founder Andy Rubin in the Month of May. Earlier the company promised that the smartphone will start shipping within 30 days but it didn’t happen. The company said that the carrier certifications were the reason for the delay.

Now, On company’s official twitter account it has confirmed that the Essential phone’s shipping has finally begun. The company has started shipping the black color variant of the smartphone as of now, but those who pre-ordered the white version are will be getting their phone in coming weeks. The modular 360-degree camera will also face delay at the moment as the company isn’t shipping the pre-ordered bundle.
As per spec-sheet, the Essential Phone will boast a bezel-less 5.71-inch display with QHD 2560 x 1312 resolution and 19:10 aspect ratio. The smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 SoC with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. As for optics, it will sport a 13MP horizontal dual camera on the rear and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies and video-call. It will pack 3,040 mAh battery and the device will be running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat.
