After Samsung, it seems like Gionee is also planning on releasing a premium flip phone Gionee W919 as recently the device was spotted on TENNA where some the key configuration and its design was revealed. The smartphone will be the successor to Gionee W909 flip phone which was released last year.
Design-wise, the Gionee W919 will also rock dual displays similar to the Samsung’s flip phone W2018. The smartphone follows an unorthodox design as it has a pointy end at the bottom. At the back it has a leather coating same as Gionee M7 Plus luxury edition and has a single primary camera followed by the flash and a fingerprint scanner.
Moving on to the leaked specs-sheet, the Gionee W909 will feature dual 4.2-inch display with HD(720 x 1280 pixels) resolution. It will be powered by an octa-core processor, which will be clocked at 2.5GHz. The smartphone will come with 6GB of RAM clubbed with 128GB of internal storage.
Speaking of optics, the smartphone will sport an 8MP sensor on the rear and in the front, it will come with a 5MP sensor for selfies, video-call, etc. The handset is expected to be running on Android 7.0 Nougat out of the box with custom Amigo UI on top and will be powered by a 3000mAh non-removable battery. As of yet we don’t know much about the released date, price or some other details of the upcoming smartphone.
