Google will be introducing their new pair of Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 smartphones on October 5 according to the reputed leakster Evan Blass (@evleaks). He also revealed that the upcoming smartphone will boast a new Qualcomm Snapdragon 836.
Earlier it was rumored that the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 will be powered Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 but recent leaks suggests otherwise. This will not be the first time that Google pixel series introduced with a new processor, last year Snapdragon 821 first appeared in the Google Pixel. The Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 836 hasn’t been spotted in any of the benchmarking platforms like Geekbench, Antutu etc., but rumors suggest that the processor will not only have a higher clock speed but will also have a better battery life.
Moving onto the leaked specs, The Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 are expected to feature a 4.95-inch full-HD and 5.99-inch QHD (1440×2560) displays that will be manufactured by LG. The Pixel 2 will come in two variants 64GB and 128GB of built-in storage options and will support NFC, Bluetooth, and 802.11ac Wi-Fi. The smartphone will also have 4GB of RAM and the handsets have a new ‘Always On’ display mode feature.
