Nokia 5 was released earlier this year with 2GB of RAM in the month of July. And now, HMD global has released a new variant of Nokia 5 with 3GB of RAM in India. The 3GB variant will be available from November 7 onward exclusively on the e-commerce portal Flipkart, and after that, it will be available across all the major offline retail stores from November 14. It will be available in Matte Black and Tempered Blue colors.
Moving on to the specs-sheet, the Nokia 5 will feature a 5.2-inch display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution. The smartphone will powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 430 SoC coupled with 3GB of RAM and with same 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable via microSD card up to 128GB.
As for the camera, the smartphone will sport a 13MP camera with PDAF, an f/2.0 aperture, and LED flash and it’s front facing camera has an 8MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture and an 84-degree field-of-view for selfies and video-call. It will pack a 3000mAh battery and will be running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with a promised upgrade to Android Oreo.
The connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.1, FM radio with RDS, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB with OTG, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Sensors on board include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, digital compass, gyroscope, and proximity sensor. It measures 149.7×72.5×8.05 and weighs around 160grams. Speaking of pricing, it would cost around Rs. 13,499 ($209/€180) in Indian market.
