Earlier there were rumors which suggested that the Taiwanese smartphone maker will be launching a new U-series smartphone next month. And now the company has confirmed these rumors by tweeting a save-the-date for its upcoming press event to announce the U-series smartphone, which will most likely be the HTC U11 Plus whose renders were leaked recently.
The post doesn’t reveal much as the image contains a ‘U’ character in center, which suggests that the upcoming smartphone will be of the U-Series like its current flagship HTC U11. Following that there is a simple caption Save the date and lastly, it mention the date ‘November 2, 2017’. The post also comes with a message saying ‘bringing something new for the #BrilliantU’.

The upcoming smartphone, HTC U11 Plus will be the next flagship by the company and will have a similar configuration to the HTC U11 but with 6-inch POLED display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and have a Quad-HD+ (2880 x 1440 pixles) resolution. It will boast a 2.4Ghz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 paired with Adreno 540 GPU. It will have 4GB or 6GB of RAM and 64GB of built in storage, which is expected to support MicroSD card for expansion.
Moving on to the optics, the smartphone will sport a single 12MP camera on the rear and an 8MP front-facing camera for selfies, video-call, etc. The handset will be running on the latest Android 8.0 Oreo. The connectivity option will include USB OTG, 4G, 3G, Wi-Fi 802 b/g/n, v4.1 Bluetooth and GPS. Sensors on-board are Accelerometer, Proximity Sensor, Gyroscope, Light sensor and Pedometer.
