Huawei unveiled their new mid-ranged Nova 2S smartphone at an event today. The Huawei Nova 2s has a premium chassis made out of metal and glass, it comes in four colors Black, Gray, Red, Blue and Rose Gold. Ahead of the launch, almost every aspect of smartphone that one can think of were revealed by series of leaks, which were coming in timely manner.
So to refresh every one’s memory, the Huawei Nova 2S rocks a 6-inch display with Full-HD+ (2160 x 1080) resolution and have a 18:9 aspect ratio. It is backed by company’s own Kirin 960, which has an octa-core CPU clubbed with the latest Mali-G71 GPU for handling graphics tasks.
The handset is available in three storage options – base variant has 4GB of RAM mated with on-board storage of 64GB, mid variant has 6GB of RAM coupled with 64GB inbuilt storage and finally the premium variant has 6GB of RAM and 64GB of on-board storage. All variants could be expanded via Micro SD card up to 256GB.
Camera-wise, the handset features a horizontally aligned dual camera setup on the rear, which has a 16MP RGB sensor with an aperture of f/1.8 and another 20MP monochrome sensor with a 120-degree wide-angle lens and same f/1.8 aperture. At the front also it has a dual camera setup with a wide-angle 20MP sensor and a secondary 2MP camera for portrait selfies. Front camera also supports face unlock.
The smartphone packs a 3340mAh battery with Huawei SuperCharge that fills the battery to 50% in 30 minutes. The dual-SIM (GSM+GSM) Nova 2s runs EMUI 8.0-based on Android 8.0 Oreo. The connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.2, USB Type-C, and Wi-Fi among others. Moving on to the pricing, the 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM variant is priced at 2699 Yuan ($408/€346/Rs.26,322), 2999 Yuan ($453/€384/Rs.29,248) for the 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM option and the 6GB RAM + 128GB ROM version cost around 3499 Yuan ($528/€448/Rs.34,124).
