There are many reports, which suggests that the upcoming Apple iPhone 8 will be integrating their fingerprint scanner on the display as the OLED display will be bezel-less and there seem to be no cutouts for Touch ID on either side of the smartphone.
But recent rumors suggest that Apple is unable to integrate their Touch ID onto the screen and will be using the power button instead, for scanning fingerprints similar to Sony’s smartphones. Now a new leak suggests otherwise the company will be switching to IRIS scanner for securing the iPhone8. According to the leak, the feature could be called as FaceID and the front cutout also suggests that there are sensors that could be used for facial recognition.
The smartphone is expected to be officially launched in September along with iPhone 7S and 7S Plus. Earlier banking and financial services holding company JPMorgan claimed that iPhone 8 will be available in limited quantity and will be on time, but the recent leak contradicts it by saying that the device will be shipped by the end of November.
