The successor to the Motorola Moto Z Play will pack in a smaller battery (3,000mAh) compared to its predecessor (3,510mAh). Lenovo has confirmed that the Moto Z2 Play will indeed come with a 3,000mAh battery. The confirmation came in the form of a reply to a user-query on Twitter.

According to China’s TENAA certification we got to know the exatct specs of the mobile. Phone is powered by an SoC with octa-core 2.2GHz CPU, and sports a 5.5-inch full HD display. RAM is 4GB, while storage is 64GB.

The device features a 12MP main camera and a 5MP front shooter. The TENAA listing also revealed a battery capacity of 2,820mAh, but now we know that there will be a 3,000mAh battery to keep the lights on.
