After Lenovo K8 Note which was released last month the company has unveiled another smartphone of K-Series, the K8 Plus. The smartphone was unveiled today at an event which was held by the company in New Delhi. It will be available exclusively on E-commerce website Flipkart.
The smartphone will be a compact version of the Lenovo K8 Note as it will feature a smaller 5.2-inch display with Full HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. The display comes with a 2.5D curved glass on top for scratch-resistance along with the Oleophobic coating to protect the screen from smudges.
The handset be powered by a 1.7GHz octa-core MediaTek Helio P25 (MT6757CD) processor and will be available in two variants. The base variant will have 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage and the high-end variant will have 4GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage. Both storage variants will support MicroSD card up to 128GB.
As for optics, it is similar specs to Lenovo K8 Note as it also sports a 13MP primary sensor and a 5MP secondary sensor at the back. The 13MP sensor captures RGB shots, whereas the 5MP sensor adds depth to the images when enabled. There’s a dual tone LED flash as well accompanying the cameras.
On the front, it will have a 13MP selfie camera as well. The K8 Plus will also have some special audio capabilities such as Dolby Atmos and TheaterMax technology. It runs near stock Android 7.1.1 Nougat with some customizations on top. It packs a 4000mAh battery with fast charging support.
The 3GB+32GB variant of the K8 Plus will price at Rs. 11,999, whereas the 4GB+32GB variant will be available at Rs. 12,999. Both the variants will be available in gold and black hues. The connectivity options include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS and 3.5mm headphone jack.
