The homegrown smartphone brand Micromax has unveiled their new low-cost 4G smartphone, Bharat 5 in the country today. The main USP of the smartphone will be its massive 5000mAh battery. The smartphone comes in single Black color and will carry a price tag of Rs. 5,555 ($86/€72).
Under the hood, the Micromax Bharat 5 features a 5.2-inch display with HD(720 x 1280 pixels) resolution and have an orthodox 16:9 aspect ratio. It will be backed by a MediaTek chipset, which has a quad-core CPU and is clocked at 1.3GHz. The smartphone has 1GB of RAM and 16GB of in-built storage, which can be expanded via MicroSD card up to 64GB.
Camera-wise, It will sport a 5MP sensor with LED flash and Bokeh mode on the rear. And it has a similar 5MP front-facing camera with LED flash. The smartphone will boot-up older Android 7.0 Nougat and packs a big 5000mAh battery, which the company claims is rated to deliver up to 2 days of battery life, and a standby time of up to 500 hrs.
As for the launch offers, Any Vodafone customer, new or existing can get an additional 10GB of data a month for 5 months – totalling up to 50GB of additional data. The connectivity options include 4G, VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, FM radio, 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro-USB.
