Samsung seems to be working on their new handset SM-G9600, as recently it was spotted on Benchmarking platform Geekbench. The Samsung new device features a new processor sdm840 which, according to the rumors is the Qualcomm’s upcoming Snapdragon 840.
As the device is powered by an 1.77GHz quad-core Snapdragon 840, which means it will be the company’s next flagship. But, there is speculation that this mysterious Samsung smartphone could be the new compact device Galaxy S8 Lite or Galaxy S8 Mini which was leaked earlier. According to the listing on Geekbench, the device achieved a single-core score of 1782 and multi-core of 4212. Along with the Snapdragon 840 Soc , the handset will also pack 4GB of RAM and is running on Android 7.1.2 Nougat underneath Touch wiz.
Samsung Galaxy S8 mini is expected to have an 5.3 inch AMOLED screen with edge to edge infinity display and will have a wide aspect ratio (18.5:9). The smartphone will also sport 12MP camera sensor which is used in Galaxy S8. It will pack a 3000mAh battery and have 32GB internal storage, which could be expanded via MicroSD card. It is expected to be released in South Korea in the coming months.
