The Chinese smartphone manufacturer Xiaomi will be introducing another bezel-less Mi Mix 2 this year. The smartphone will be the successor of last year’s MI MIX which started the trend of minimal bezels. Now a renowned designer Philippe Starck has posted a video on to the social networking website Facebook which reveals the design of the upcoming smartphone.
The leaks show that the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will have even smaller bezels than its predecessor and there is no headset grille up top so the company will be using a piezoelectric module in place of a speaker like last year. As for front-facing camera, it would be placed on the bottom bezel on the right. The video is a concept design by the designer and it is still in progress mode which means there could be some changes at the time of the launch.
As per leaked configuration, the smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 with 6GB of RAM. It will feature an AMOLED display and will sport 19MP camera on the rear. As for battery capacity, it comes with 4500mAh battery. Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is expected to cost around ¥ 4999 ($748) in the Chinese market.
