HMD global unveiled its first flagship smartphone Nokia 8 last month. Earlier rumors suggest that Nokia 8 will be released in India on September 26. And recently, the Nokia 8 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage was spotted on FCC site, hinting the variant’s availability in the US. Now a report claims that the Nokia 8 will go sale from October 20 and could be purchased via both offline and online channels in Germany.
As for pricing it could cost around Euro 669 in German markets. It will be sold in four color options Tempered Blue, Silver, Polished Blue and Polished Copper.
Now, as for specification, the Nokia 8 will sport a 5.3-inch IPS LCD display with Quad-HD (2560 x 1440) resolution and for protection, it has a Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The smartphone will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage which can be expanded via MicroSD card up to 256GB.
The smartphone is 4.6mm thick at the edges and 7.9mm at the thickest point and has an IP54 rating which means it is splash-proof. On the rear, the smartphone features a vertical dual-camera setup with 13MP sensors which are developed by Zeiss. It has one monochrome sensor and another color sensor similar to the Moto Z2 Force and will support OIS with 1.12µm pixels and a f/2.0 aperture. The selfie camera also has a 13MP camera with 1.12µm pixels and a f/2.0 aperture, phase detection autofocus.
The smartphone also comes with the 360° spatial surround audio recording, which will capture sound with a quality to match the sharp 4K video imagery. The device has a metal shell, which is milled out of 6000 series aluminum. It will pack a 3090mAh battery and will be running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box with a promised upgrade to Android O.
