Earlier it was rumored that Nokia 8 will be the sole flagship by the HMD global but now a Nokia smartphone with model name Nokia 9 was spotted on the benchmarking platform GFXBench which revealed some of its specifications. This is not the first time that the smartphone appeared on a benchmarking platform, but the current listing has some discrepancies.
The current listing reveals two different display sizes 5.2-inch and 5.3-inch which could be due to malfunction. But according to the earlier listing the smartphone would feature 5.3-inch display with Quad-HD (2560 x 1440) resolution. Earlier, when the device was spotted it was running on Android 7.1.1 whereas on GFXBench it was running the latest Android 8.0.
But other than those details all others are similar. The Nokia 9 will boast a 2.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon coupled with Adreno 540 GPU and will come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB built-in storage which can be expanded via MicroSD card. There are rumours that suggest the handset could also have a 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage variant.
On the rear, The smartphone will have a dual camera setup with 12MP sensors with autofocus, face detection, HDR, Touch focus and LED flash. The camera lenses could also be manufactured by ZEISS similar to Nokia 8. As for the front-facing camera it comes with a same 12MP sensor. Both cameras could shoot videos at 4K resolution.
