Motorola started a soak test for the update to Android 7.0 Nougat for the Moto X Pure Edition from 2015, the phone known outside the US mostly as Moto X Style. The soak test has ended and today Motorola has announced the general rollout for the new software release. This is now on its way over-the-air to units purchased in the US.
Motorola has posted a new Nougat support page for Moto X Pure Edition owners to check out, and it’s actually quite extensive. While there’s nothing listed that’s new or unique with this update, it does give owners of the phone a good summary of all of the major features that are included with Nougat.
Android 7.0 Nougat comes with many new features, such as a revamped notification system, split-screen multitasking, quick switching between apps, Doze on the Go for better battery life, Data Saver, custom quick settings, a quick settings bar, and new emoji.
