Oneplus has just released their new flagship OnePlus 5T few weeks back and now the company is planning on releasing the special edition of the flagship. Recently the company announced that it will be unveiling Star Wars Limited Edition of the OnePlus 5T at Comic Con India which held in Bengaluru. The upcoming special edition is expected to be exclusive to India.
Speaking of design, The upcoming special edition will have white colored rear panel and star wars logo in red color has been placed at the bottom end. The alert slider slider has also been painted red while other buttons come in black color. The front panel of the smartphone comes in all black. The teaser doesn’t mention launch date, but if we have to guess it would be December 15 as Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be released on that date.
Under the hood, the Oneplus 5T will rock a 6.01-inch Optic AMOLED display with Full-HD+ (2160 x 1080 pixels) resolution and for the protection it comes with Gorilla Glass 5. It is also powered by 2.45Ghz octa-core Snapdragon 835 paired with Adreno 540 GPU like its predecessor. The device comes in two variants 6GB of RAM with 64GB internal memory and 8GB of RAM and 128GB internal memory.
Dual Camera setup on Oneplus 5T also comes with a 16MP Sony IMX398 sensor with f/1.7 aperture, fast autofocus, with a dual tone LED flash and a secondary 20MP Sony IMX376K with same f/1.7 which is capable of shooting great low-light images.As for the selfie shooter, it has a 16MP IMX371 sensor with 1-micron pixels and an aperture of f/2.0. It can record 1080p videos at 30fps. It will be running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box with a decent 3,300mAh battery.
As for the pricing of the Oneplus 5T, the 6GB RAM with 64GB ROM will be priced at Rs.32,999 ($499/€499/£449) while the 8GB RAM with 128GB inbuilt storage will cost nearly Rs.37,999 ($559/€559/£499).
