Oppo is set to launch its next-generation F series smartphone Oppo F5 at an event on October 26 in the Philippines. The smartphone will be the successor of Oppo F3 which was released earlier this years. Recently, the company has posted the invite for the event on their Philippines official page and a promotional video of the Oppo F5 was also aired on a Filipino news channel.
Media invites for the said launch event have already been sent out which shows top and bottom bezels of the phone. The invite comes with the tagline ‘capture the real you’, followed by the date ‘10.26.2017’.
As for the rumored specs-sheet, the Oppo F5 is expected to feature a massive 6-inch FHD+ display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. Touted as a selfie-centric smartphone, the Oppo F5 is said to feature 16MP dual cameras on the front for capturing great selfies along with bokeh effect and more. The handset is also believed to sport a 20MP main camera with a LED flash on the rear.
Under the hood, the smartphone is likely to rock a 2.2 GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 coupled with Adreno 512 GPU. The smartphones will come with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage. There can also be a lower variant of the handset with 4GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.
