Qualcomm announced their new budget friendly processor Snapdragon 450 with performance improvements such as increased battery life, better performance in gaming and normal day to day tasks. Snapdragon 450 is a octa-core chip which is built on a 14nm process similar to the mid-ranged Snapdragon 625 and 630.
Qualcomm has also increased max clock speed to 1.8GHz on the new Snapdragon 450 whereas its predecessor Snapdragon 435 maximum clock speed was around 1.4GHz. The company also claims that Snapdragon 450 will be able to support Real-time Bokeh, which will help the user to blur the background of a photo in real time and it will also support dual cameras.
Qualcomm has also integrated Hexagon 546 DSP in the new processor which is provide better performance and power efficiency. Snapdragon 435 will also include LTE CAT 6 support, four hours more battery time compared to its predecessor Sanpdragon 435. It will also support Quick Charge 3.0, USB 3.0 and higher resolution for displays upto 2,160 x 1,440. As for GPU they have added Adreno 506 which will have better clock speed and some thermal benefits.
