It seems like leaks regarding the upcoming smartphones Xiaomi Redmi 5 and Redmi 5 Plus won’t stop coming until the devices are launched tomorrow. As recently a live image of these smartphones were spotted alongside in the wild where some key specification of the smartphones were confirmed.
Starting with left side where the Redmi 5 Plus is placed, It will 5.99-inch display and have an in-trend 18:9 aspect ratio. After that it mentions that it will be packing a battery that will offer a 17-days standby time, a soft-LED flash for the selfie camera, a 12MP rear-mounted camera and Snapdragon 625 chipset.
Moving on to the Redmi 5, the image confirms that it will rock a 5.7-inch display and has a similar 18:9 aspect ratio. The battery life of the device is lower than its plus variant as it will only come with standby time up to 13-days. It will also boast Snapdragon 450 SoC and have the same 12MP rear camera and soft-LED flash for the front-facing camera.
The Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus would be delivering a longer standby time is because it is expected to house a 4000mAh battery, while the Xiaomi Redmi 5 is speculated to be backed by a smaller 3200mAh battery. Both the smartphones will be available in four colors such as Black, Blue, Pink and Gold. As for the pricing, the Xiaomi Redmi 5 will be priced at $199.99(€169/Rs.12,888), whereas the Redmi 5 Plus will cost around $249.99(€211/Rs.16,111).
