Reliance Jio is expected to unveil their new 4G VoLTE enabled feature phone at an affordable price. The feature phone is rumored to be released on July 21 at company’s Annual general meeting. Recently some images and detailed specifications of Reliance Jio feature phone were leaked online.
The phone will sport an 2.4 inch TFT display with QVGA (320 x 240) resolution. Jio’s feature phone will be powered by 1.2Ghz dual-core processor which can be manufactured by Spreadtrum according to the rumors. It will have 512 MB of RAM with 4GB of internal storage which and support expansion of storage via MicroSD card upto 64GB.
The hanset will be dual SIM device but only the first slot will support 4G network and the other one will only support 2G Network. It will pack an 2000mAh battery and will come with few apps like music/video player, FM Radio, Browser etc. The feature phone will support LTE Cat 4 band with spectrum 850MHz, 1800MHz, and 2300MHz. And for the second sim slot, the device will have network support in 900MHz and 1800MHz spectrums.
The device also supports Wi-Fi hotspot, Tethering and there are rumors that it will have new os KaiOS which has a voice assistant to use the device remotely. As for camera it has a VGA camera on the rear and but there is no front-facing camera.
