Sony is expected to unveil its next year’s lineup at the 2018 Mobile World Congress (MWC). Earlier reports suggest that upcoming Sony smartphones will feature fullview display, which are in-trend nowadays. Now a set of renders has been spotted online which shows the upcoming smartphones in all its glory.
The images reveal that both the smartphones will rock an elongated display with minimal bezels on the sides. At the top and bottom of the front side it seems there are grills placed indicating that the upcoming smartphones could come with dual front-facing speaker. There seems to be a single selfie shooter placed on the top bezel of the handsets.
Moving on to the rear panels, the left placed smartphone has curved areas with matte finish on top and the bottom. In between these curved areas there seems to be glossy area, which is supposed to be glass with a fingerprint sensor embedded underneath. The camera placement on the device is also unique as it rocks a horizontally aligned dual camera setup, but the cameras are placed wide apart and the sensors and LED flash are placed in between.
Now if we look at the right placed smartphone, it seems it will come with uniform metal back with the fingerprint sensor placed in the center. The horizontal dual camera setup on the smartphone also seems normal and the sensors, LED-flash are placed on the side.
Specification-wise, Both the smartphones are expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s latest octa-core Snapdragon 845 clubbed with Adreno 630 GPU for handling graphics. The chipset will come with 6GB of RAM. They will feature 5.7-inch HDR display with 4K (3840 × 2160 pixels) resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. It will bootup on Android 8.0 Oreo and have USB Type-C port.
