Recently Samsung’s mid-tier smartphone Samsung A5 (2018) with model number “SM-A530F” appeared on the benchmarking platform Geekbench revealing some of its configuration. This will not be the first time that the smartphone was spotted on Geekbench earlier, it was spotted with different model number “SM-A5300” and different configuration
According to the new listing, the Samsung A5(SM-A530F) will boast a 1.59GHz octa-core Exynos 7885 coupled with 4GB of RAM, whereas the older listing showed that the Samsung A5(SM-A5300) will be powered by 1.84GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 paired with a whopping 6GB of RAM.
As for the test scores the Samsung A5(SM-A530F) scored 1541 on single core test and on multi core it achieved a score of 4351 which are slightly lower when compared to the earlier listing where on the single-core test, the Samsung A5(SM-A5300) scored 1591 and 5706 on the multi-core.
Both smartphones will be running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat underneath Touch wiz UI. If we go by the model numbers Samsung Galaxy A5 (SM-A530F) will be released for global markets, whereas the Samsung Galaxy A5 with model number SM-A5300 will be released in China.
