Samsung is working on their upcoming mid-range smartphone Samsung Galaxy A5. And it was recently spotted on the benchmarking platform Geekbech which revealed the configuration of the smartphone. The new smartphone will have model number “SM-A5300”.
According to the listing, the Samsung Galaxy A5 will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 with Adreno 512 GPU and will have a whopping 6GB of RAM. The smartphone is running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat underneath the TouchWiz UI. The smartphone scored 1591 on single-core and on multi-core test it scored around 5706.
The handset seems to be an American variant as it is powered by a Qualcomm processor instead of Samsung’s own Exynos processor which is sold in other markets. There were no other details regarding the configuration were leaked with the listing.The device could be called A5 Pro or A5 (2018).
