The South Korean smartphone maker Samsung has launched a new mid-ranged smartphone Samsung Galaxy C8 for the Chinese market. The smartphone will be available in three colour options Black, Gold and Rose Gold. The pricing and availability timeframe of the smartphone is not known at the moment.
Moving onto the specs-sheets, the Samsung Galaxy C8 will sport a 5.5-inch SAMOLED display with Full-HD (1920 x 1080) resolution. The smartphone will boast a 2.3GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6757 Helio P20 processor. It will have two storage variants the base model will have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage and another variant will have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of built-in storage. Both storage variants can be expanded via MicroSD cards up to 256GB.
As for optics, it will feature an dual camera setup on the rear which has a primary 13MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture and a secondary 5MP with f/1.9 aperture. The dual camera come with a new Dual Photo mode, which let’s you capture a photo and later adjust where the focus is. On the front, it has a 16MP selfie camera with f/1.9 aperture. The handset packs a 3000mAh battery and runs on runs Touchwiz based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat out of the box.
The connectivity option includes 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS, Glonass, Micro-USB, 3.5mm audio jack, and FM radio. The smartphone measures at 152.4 x 74.7 x 7.9mm and weighs around 180grams. Sensors on board the smartphone include acceleration sensor, fingerprint reader, gyro sensor, geomagnetic sensor, RGB light sensor, and a proximity sensor.
