As per reports Korean company Samsung will unveil there new flagship Samsung Galaxy Note 8 in September. The device is expected to compete against Apple iPhone 8 which will also be releasing in the same month as per rumours. The device will look similar to Samsung S8 as per previous leaks and rumours, but is expected to have a bigger screen.
The device is expected to have a 6.3 inch display which would larger than last year’s Note 7, which was discontinued after several units caught fire. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will feature the edge-to-edge infinity display which have been used by the Galaxy S lineup uptill now. It is expected be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 and for Asian markets it would have Samsung Exynos 8895 SoC. Smartphone will also have 6GB of RAM, a dual camera system with optical image stabilization, and its signature S-Pen.
The company is expected to use a smaller battery with 3300mAh capacity compared last year’s 3500mAh battery which caused the debacle. It will sport a dual camera setup with 13MP sensors, and there will be Optical Image stabilization (OIS) support for both the sensors. The report further adds that the sensor placement would be a horizontal one, which is followed by a fingerprint scanner and heart rate sensor.
S-Pen has gone through a major upgradation and can now write notes at any time due to the always-on display, full sentence language translation, currency conversion, etc. The device will also support DeX which can turn the smartphone into a desktop. The device is expected to be cost around €999 ($1118) which would make this costliest device by Samsung till date.
