Almost every other day there has been leaks regarding the upcoming flagship Samsung Galaxy Note8. Now the recent leaks consist of a dummy unit of the Galaxy Note8 and a brochure of the smartphone revealing both the design and configuration.
The dummy unit has similar design aspects to the earlier leaks. The pictures show that the smartphone will have an edge to edge infinity display, which was earlier a signature S – series feature. On the back, the device would sport a horizontal dual camera setup with flash, heart-rate sensor, and the fingerprint scanner.
The leak also contains the brochure which reveals and confirms the specification of the smartphone. According to the leaflets, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 will sport a 6.3-inch SAMOLED display, which contradicts the GFXBench listing where the size of the display was around 6.4-inch and had Quad-HD+(2960 x 1440) resolution.
As for optics the device will have 2x fixed optical zooming capabilities and for good low light performance, it will have f/1.7 aperture with optical image stabilization. The S Pen will have a quick note feature which can be enabled even when the screen is off, and it will let users to write messages and share them as GIFs, JPEG etc.. Smart Switch will get your photos, contacts, and music from your old phone onto your brand new Note8.
It will have IRIS scanner for security and IP68 certification for protection against dust and water. The Samsung Galaxy Note8 will be available in two colors variants Gold and Black. The device is expected to be released on August 23 and will be priced around €999.
