Samsung Galaxy Note8 was unveiled globally by the company last month. And now it’s set to launch the smartphone at an event in India on September 12. The company has started sending out invites for the event to be held in Delhi.
The invites comes with the tag line ‘Do Bigger Things’ and posted a GIF that shows an outline of the smartphone with narrow bezels and the Note’s S Pen that sketches an image of people from different cultures within India. As for pricing the Samsung Galaxy Note8 could start at Rs. 69,990 and the higher storage variant can go up to Rs. 74,990.
Now looking at specs, the Samsung Galaxy Note8 will feature a 6.3-inch SAMOLED display with Quad-HD+ (2960 x 1440) resolution and 18.5:9 aspect ratio. For protection it will come with IP68 water and dust resistant certified. The smartphone will boast a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 or Exynos 8895. It will have 6GB of RAM and will be available in three storage variants 64GB for US markets, Globally the device will have 128GB and 265GB of internal storage variant. All the variants will support MicroSD card.
Moving onto the optics, it will sport a horizontal dual cameras with primary 12MP sensor which will have Wide-angle f/1.7 aperture and the telephoto lens will also have a 12MP sensor but with f/2.4 aperture. Both the sensors would support OIS (optical image stabilization). As for front-facing shooter it would have an 8MP sensor with f/1.7 aperture. It will pack a smaller 3300mAh battery compared to its predecessor and S8 duo. The device will be running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat underneath the custom Touch Wiz.
The new S PEN would also have dust and water protection as it has IP68 certification and has more levels of pressure sensitivity. The S PEN will come with a new animated GIF feature. Connectivity options include 4G VOLTE, LTE Cat. 16, Wi-Fi: 802.11a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, A-GPS, NFC and MST for Samsung Pay, Wireless charging, 3.5mm audio jack, and USB Type-C.
