The company is expected to unveil Nova 2s later today in Beijing, but some videos have surfaced ahead of the launch, which shows unboxing and hand-on of the upcoming handset and confirms its key specification along with the design aesthetics.
Both the videos show the smartphone from different angles, it confirms that the Huawei Nova 2S will rock a full-view display with minimal bezels on the side with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The fingerprint scanner will be placed on the front at the bottom bezel same as the Huawei Honor V10. It will feature a horizontal dual camera setup on both front and back. It will follow the unibody metal design. It also comes with USB-C port and has a 3.5mm audio jack.
As for the leaked specs-sheet, the Huawei Nova 2S will sport a 6-inch display with Full-HD+ (2160 x 1080) resolution and have a 18:9 aspect ratio. It will be fueled by company’s own Kirin 960 will have an octa-core CPU and has the latest Mali-G71 GPU for handling graphics tasks.
The handset will come with 6GB of RAM and has on-board storage of 64GB, which is further expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. The rear horizontal dual rear camera setup will consists of a 16MP sensor and another 20MP sensor. Both the sensor has an aperture of f/1.8. And at the front end also the smartphone will feature horizontal dual camera setup with one 20MP sensor and another 2MP sensors.
The smartphone will running on EMUI 8.0 based on Android Oreo and come with features like NFC, facial recognition. It will also come with inbuilt Hi-Fi chip for good audio. To keep the smartphone running, it will pack a 3340mAh battery with support 18W fast charge. The Nova 2s is expected to be available in 5 color variants, Blue, Gold, Black, Silver and Red. As for the pricing, consumer has to pay 2899 Yuan ($378/€372/Rs.28,274) for the 4GB RAM +64GB ROM variant, while 6GB RAM + 64GB ROM variant will carry a price tag of 3199 Yuan ($483/€410/Rs.31,200). It weighs around 169 grams and measures 156.9 x 75.1 x 7.5mm.
