A new Xiaomi smartphone with codename Chiron was spotted on the benchmarking platform GFXBench recently. Earlier, it was rumoured that the Xiaomi Chiron would be dubbed into the Mi Mix 2 or Mi Note 3 but the new specs sheet suggests that this could be a new smartphone by the company.
According to the listing, the Xiaomi Chiron will sport a 5.6-inch display which is unorthodox size of a screen. It comes with Full-HD (1980 x 1080) resolution. The smartphone is powered by a 2.4GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 coupled with Adreno 540 GPU to handle graphical tasks.
The handset comes with 6GB of RAM and a massive 256GB of internal storage. As for optics, it features a 12MP camera on the rear which can shoot videos in 4K resolution and supports autofocus, face detection, touch focus and HDR. In the front, it has a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies, video-call, etc.. The smartphone runs on MIUI based on Android 7.1.1.
