The Chinese smartphone manufacturer has revealed their new mid-ranged Mi 5X smartphone in China. The smartphone will be the first to have Nougat-based MIUI 9 which brings forth a lot of improvements like Xiaomi’s Smart Assistant, built-in Image Search, a new file system etc.
The smartphone will boast a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Soc with Adreno 506 GPU for handling graphic tasks. It will be available in a single variant which will have 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage. It comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display and weighs 165 grams, measures 7.3mm in thickness.
On the rear, the handset will sport a vertical dual camera with two 12MP sensors with one sensor used to capture standard RGB shots, whereas the other sensor has telephoto lens offering 2x zoom. The camera will support bokeh effect, which is used to blur the background in the images. The front-facing camera will have a 13MP sensor for selfies and video-call. It packs a 3,080mAh battery and will be available in Gold, Rose Gold, and Black.
The Xiaomi Mi 5X will be priced at ¥ 1499 ($222). The device will be available from August 1 in China.
