Xiaomi hosted an event in Delhi to unveil their new Mi Max 2. The smartphone will be available for purchasing on the company’s own website from July 20 onward and for other online and offline stores it will be available on July 27. The company will also be celebrating their three year anniversary from July 20-21.
The Mi Max 2 will be replacing its successor Mi Max. The smartphone will feature a massive 6.44 inch display with full-HD (1080 x 1920) resolution. It will be powered by 2.0GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, which could be expanded via MicroSD card up to 128GB.
On the rear the handset will sport a 12 MP Sony IMX386 sensor with improved low light and dynamic range performance. For selfies and video call the device will have a 5MP camera. The company has also added Dual speaker stereo to enhance the devices audio capability. The device will pack a huge 5300mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support for faster charging.
The device has a unibody metal design and it will be running on Android 7.1.1 Nougat with MIUI 8 on top. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 will be priced at Rs.16,999 ($264). The Mi Max 2 will come in two color variants gold and matte black. As for launching offers JIO giving additional 100GB data on its 309 Plan.
