Xiaomi has released their new flagship MI MIX 2 in India at New Delhi today. The smartphone will carry a price tag of Rs. 35,999 in the India. It will be exclusively available on Flipkart. The phone will be available as a preview sale on Flipkart on October 17.
The Xiaomi MI MIX 2 features a frame built out of 7-Series aluminium, holding in the four-sided curved ceramic body. The regular variant of the smartphone will only be available in Black color, whereas the special edition variant will be available in white apart from black color.
Moving onto the configuration, the smartphone features a 5.99-inch Super AMOLED 18:9 display, which is compacter when compared to its predecessor which came with a massive 6.4-inch display. However, the panel itself is an FHD+ one boasting a resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels, unlike the QHD+ one seen on the modern day flagships. The handset has reduced its bottom bezel by 12% and the front glass is curved on all sides.
The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 boasts a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset and it will be available in four storage option. The three option will have 6GB of RAM with 64GB, 128GB, and 256GB built in storage. And the special edition will come with 8GB of RAM and and 128GB of internal storage.The smartphone runs MIUI 9 based on Android 7.0 Nougat and comes with a 3400mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0.
On the rear, it sports a 12MP Sony IMX386 sensor at the back with 1.25-micron pixels, 4-axis optical image stabilisation, 5-piece lens, an f/2.0 aperture, facial recognition. It is the same primary sensor used in the Mi 6.And has a 5MP front-facing selfie camera with a facial recognition function. The Connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-band (2.4GHz and 5GHz) Wi-Fi 802.11ac, GPS/ A-GPS, Bluetooth v5.0, and USB Type-C.The regular variant of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 measures 151.8×75.5×7.7mm, and weighs 185 grams. The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2 Special Edition on the other hand measures 150.5×74.6×7.7mm and weighs 187 grams. Sensors on board include accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, digital compass, gyroscope, and ultrasonic proximity sensor.
