Earlier there were rumors and leaked images which suggested that the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Mix2 will be powered by a new chipset Qualcomm Snapdragon 836. But now the American mobile processor manufacturer Qualcomm claims that the smartphone will boast the latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 instead.
Another batch of press rendered images surfaced online recently which reveals the design of the smartphone. Looking at the images it seems like there won’t be any bezels and the display is somewhat curved from sides similar to Samsung Infinity display. At the bottom there is some bezel with the front-facing camera placed in the right corner.
Moving onto the rumored configuration, The handset is said to sport a 6.2-inch AMOLED display with (2960 x 1440) resolution same as the Samsung’s Galaxy S8+. It will come with 6GB of RAM and there is a possibility of 8GB variant also. It packs an 4400mAh battery and runs on Android 8.0 Oreo with custom MIUI 9 on top.
On the rear, the smartphone will feature a 20MP camera with dual-tone LED flash. It will have 5MP front-facing camera for selfies, video-calls, etc..The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 is expected to cost around ¥ 4999 ($748) in the Chinese market. The Xiaomi Mi Mix2 will be unveiled on September 11.
