According to the earlier rumors Xiaomi next flagship Mi 7 would be powered by the Qualcomm’s upcoming processor Snapdragon 845. Now, as per a leakster on Weibo claims that Xiaomi & Qualcomm has partnered up and are trying to optimize the performance of Snapdragon 845 for Xiaomi Mi 7.
The leak also reveals that the process of the optimizing the Snapdragon 845 chipset seems to be going at a steady pace. The initial testing of Snapdragon 845 chipset for Mi 7 is expected to commence in November and the final testing is pegged to happen in February 2018.
As for leaked specification of Xiaomi Mi 7, the smartphone will sport a massive 6-inch AMOLED display, which will be manufactured by Samsung and the display is expected to be bezel-less with 18:9 aspect ratio. As mentioned earlier, it would boast the upcoming Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC and will be available in two variants 6GB of RAM and 8GB of RAM.
The Xiaomi Mi 7 is also expected to be the first smartphone by the Chinese mobile phone manufacturer to support wireless charging. The 6GB variant of the smartphone will carry a price tag of ¥2999 ($451/€384). The handset will also be unveiled in Q1 2018 with the Samsung Galaxy S9 and LG G7.
