Xiaomi is known for offering great configured devices at good prices, recently their upcoming budget-friendly smartphone, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 was spotted on TENNA revealing the design and the specification of the smartphone. The Chinese company has already launched new Redmi-series smartphones such as Redmi Note 5A and Redmi 5A in China, and as the Redmi Note 5 appeared on TENAA which could suggest it would be next in line to be unveiled.
As far as the configuration is concerned, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will rock a massive 5.99-inch display with Full-HD+ (1080 × 2160 pixels) resolution and has an 18:9 aspect ratio. There are sensors and front-facing camera on top of the screen, and there are no hardware navigation keys, but the chin is relatively larger than other smartphones with 18:9 display.
Some earlier reports suggested that the Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 will sport a vertical dual camera setup on the rear and some CAD rendered images also confirmed those reports, but the reports seems to be false as according to TENAA listing the smartphone will feature a single 12MP camera on the rear. And in the front it has the same 5MP camera as its predecessor for selfies and video-call.
The handset will be powered by a 2.0Ghz octa-core processor and will be available in two storage variants, 3GB of RAM with 32GB of built in storage and a high-end variant which comes with 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage. To keep the device running it packs a big 4000mAh which should be enough for display and comes with MIUI 9 based on Android 7.1.2. The handset measures 158.5 x 75.45 x 8.05m and weighs around 179.5g.
