Xiaomi is working on their upcoming mid ranged handset Redmi Note 5, so recently some specification and images got leaked online. Smartphone is expected powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 or Snapdragon 660, the company may choose Qualcomm Snapdragon 630 as their is shortage of Snapdragon 660.
Redmi Note 5 will feature a 5.5 inch display with Full-HD (1920 x 1080) resolution similar to its predecessor Note 4. The device will available in three variants starting with 3GB of RAM with 32GB of internal storage which would be priced at CNY 1,200 ($176). The second variant will have the same 32GB internal storage but it would have 4GB of RAM and it would cost around CNY 1,400 ($295). Highest variant will have 4GB of RAM with 64GB of internal storage and all variants can expand their storage via microSD card as their is a hybrid slot.
As for optics the Redmi Note 5 will sport a 16MP camera on rear with Sony IMX 234 sensor and f/2.0 aperture. On the front there is a 13MP camera for selfie, videocall etc. Smartphone will pack a 3790mAh battery which is smaller than Redmi Note 4’s 4,100mAh.
