A Xiaomi smartphone with the model number “MDG6S” was spotted on United States Federal Communications Commission. The device looks like the Redmi Note 5A Prime and its appearance on US FCC suggest that the Chinese company will be announcing the smartphone soon.
As for the specification the Redmi Note 5A Prime sports a 5.5-inch display with HD (720×1280 pixels) resolution. The handset is powered by the Snapdragon 435 SoC paired with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 505 GPU. It will have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which will support microSD card for expansion.
In terms of optics, it will have a 13MP camera on the rear with LED flash and at front, the smartphone sports a 16MP camera with 76-degree wide-angle sensor with an independent soft light flash, f/2.0 aperture, and real-time beauty filters. It will run on Android 7.1.1 with custom MIUI 9 on top.
At the moment there are no official reports regarding the launch of the company’s first smartphone in US as so far the only way to have a Xiaomi smartphone in the United States is to import it.
