The Chinese Smartphone manufacturer has released their new entry-level smartphone Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A in China. The main USP of the smartphone will be its front facing camera which has a 16MP sensor for great selfies, video-call etc. at an affordable price.
Moving onto the configuration, The Xiaomi Redmi Note 5A will sport a 5.5-inch screen with HD (1280 x 720) display. The device will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 435. The handset will be available in three variants, the base variant will come with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, another variant will have 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage and the higher variant will have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. All variants could extend their storage via MicroSD card.
On the rear, the smartphone will sport a 13MP camera with LED flash and the front-facing camera will have a 16MP sensor. The smartphone will be available in the Champagne Gold, Rose Gold and Platinum Silver Gray. It will pack a 3080mAh battery and will be running on Android Nougat 7.1.1 underneath the latest MIUI 9. The base variant with 2GB+16GB costs ¥699 (€89/$105), there’s a 3GB+32GB variant priced at ¥899 (€114/$135) and a 4GB+64GB high-end model that is priced ¥1,199 (€153/$180).
