Xiaomi is expected to unveil their new bezel-less smartphone Mi Mix 2 at an event on September 11. But that’s not all the company will also be releasing another smartphone with the Mi Mix 2 and according to post on Weibo by the company’s co-founder Lin Bin it will be the Mi Note 3.
The post had a caption that reads a “large version of the Mi 6” which suggests a larger display for the upcoming Mi Note 3. Followed by the caption was a teaser image of the Mi Note 3. The images show that Mi Note 3 will sport a horizontal dual camera setup on the rear and will have a unimetal body design. Last year also the company released the Mi Note 2 alongside the Mi Mix.
As for the rumored specs, Xiaomi Mi Note 3 will feature a 5.7-inch AMOLED display with Quad-HD (2560 x 1440) resolution manufactured by Samsung. It will boast a Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. It packs a 4000mAh battery and will be running on custom MIUI 9 based on Android 7.1 Nougat. Furthermore, It will sport a horizontal dual rear camera setup with two 12MP sensors with dual tone LED flash. And in the front, it will have an 8MP selfie camera.
Another video was posted by Lin Bin co-founder of Xiaomi revealing that Mi Mix 2 will come with a facial recognition feature to unlock the phone. The video shows the smartphone with a glossy rear panel in Blue and Black colors.
