YU Televentures a subsidiary company of Micromax Informatics has released its new entry-level smartphone Yu Yunique 2 in India on July 25. The handset is the successor of Yu Yunique which was introduced in the market in September 2015. The Phone will be available in two color variants Champagne Gold and Coal Black and will be available sale exclusively on e-commerce website Flipkart, From July 27, 2017.
The Yu Yunique 2 will feature a 5 inch IPS display with HD (1280 x 720) resolution and a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 on top for screen protection. The handset follows a unibody metal design with minimal bezels on the sides. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6737 SoC coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage which is expandable via MicroSD card up to 64GB.
As for optics, the smartphone will sport a 13MP camera on the rear and a 5MP front-facing camera for selfies and video-call. It will pack a 2500mAh battery and will be running on Android 7.0 Nougat. The device will support 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth v4.0, GPS/ A-GPS, FM radio, 3.5mm audio jack, and Micro-USB port. Yu Yunique 2 has integrated Truecaller, which gives caller ID and spam protection and be priced at Rs. 5,999($94).
